Physicians trained in Internal Medicine are specialists who apply scientific knowledge and clinical expertise to individual health maintenance and the diagnosis, treatment and care of adults with both simple and complex illnesses. They are focused on maintaining each individual’s health by helping patients develop and understand the importance of disease prevention and healthy lifestyle choices.
