Sleep Medicine

Sleep Medicine focuses on adult and pediatric sleep disorders, including sleep apnea, insomnia, sleep deprivation, and restless legs syndrome.  Sleep regulation is a necessary component of good health. Sleep Disturbances over time can seriously affect hormone levels, mood and weight control. Sleep apnea is characterized by brief interruptions of breathing during sleep and can be a serious and potentially life-threatening condition. Sleep apnea is largely undiagnosed, with only 10% of people with the condition being treated.

The Sleep Center at White Plains Hospital provides overnight studies to test for sleep apnea and other sleep disorders. It offers state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment, comfortable private rooms, a caring and credentialed staff, and complimentary continental breakfast and parking. The Center also offers special diagnostic testing facilities for children.
