Neurologists deal with the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the nervous system such as stroke, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy or movement disorders through the use of state-of-the-art therapies. While early diagnosis is helpful, our multi-disciplinary team, which includes nurses and physical and occupational therapists, works with each individual, at every stage of illness.  Individuals often consult a neurologist for issues regarding coordination, muscle weakness, confusion, dizziness or sensory issues.

Our neurologists also specialize in a multi-disciplinary approach to the treatment of multiple sclerosis. They integrate knowledge of disease-modifying therapies and the treatment of symptoms, while paying attention to the emotional and social impact of the disease.

The diagnostic process includes a review of the patient’s health history and the administration of a neurological exam. This enables the clinician to localize the pathology and devise specific treatments to manage the condition.
