Dr. Kati Glockenberg, board-certified in gastroenterology and in internal medicine, earned her medical degree from the Albert Einstein School of Medicine, where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. She then completed a residency in internal medicine at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center and a fellowship in gastroenterology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

Dr. Glockenberg’s areas of expertise include colon cancer screening and the management of irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease, gastroesophageal reflux disease, and liver disease. She also has a special interest in women’s gastrointestinal health. She prioritizes patient comfort and education to encourage informed and shared decision-making, so that patients understand their condition and the reasons for recommended treatments, in order to build trust.

In witnessing family members’ health struggles Dr. Glockenberg developed an appreciation for the physician’s role in navigating and overcoming challenges, and she considers serving in that role her favorite aspect of her work.
