White Plains Hospital Names Dr. Garfield Clunie Director, Maternal-Fetal Medicine

White Plains, N.Y. (April 23, 2024) – Board-certified physician Dr. Garfield Clunie has been named Director, Maternal-Fetal Medicine at White Plains Hospital.

A native of Jamaica, Dr. Clunie earned his medical degree from the Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, N.C., followed by completion of a residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at NYU Downtown Hospital and a fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Tufts-New England Medical Center.

Dr. Clunie specializes in medical complications of pregnancy and diagnosis and management of fetal abnormalities. His work experience includes positions at several area hospitals, most recently at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine/NYU Langone Tisch Hospital. Dr. Clunie has also served as the 123rd President of the National Medical Association (2022-2023).

In addition, he has been published in such outlets as The Mount Sinai Journal of Medicine and the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and has contributed to such textbooks as The American Academy of Pediatrics Textbook of Pediatric Care and Medical Complications During Pregnancy.

Dr. Clunie is board-certified in Maternal-Fetal Medicine and Obstetrics and Gynecology.
