White Plains, N.Y. (April 1, 2019) – White Plains Hospital is pleased to welcome Michael Mortelliti, MD to its Physician Associates Division. Dr. Mortelliti is highly skilled in pulmonary and critical care medicine as well as sleep medicine, having been in practice for nearly two decades.
Dr. Mortelliti earned his medical degree from the University of Vermont College of Medicine in Burlington, VT. He completed his internal medicine residency and internship at the Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC, and then completed a fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH. Dr. Mortelliti completed a second fellowship in sleep medicine at the University of Vermont Medical Center in 2011.
Dr. Mortelliti comes to White Plains Hospital from the Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, MA, where he served in several leadership positions including Associate Director of the Center for Sleep Medicine, Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, and Medical Director for Pulmonary Rehabilitation.
Dr. Mortellitii is board certified in internal, pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine. He holds professional memberships in the American Thoracic Society, the American College of Chest Physicians, the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, and the American Medical Association. He has presented and lectured in a variety of academic settings and his research has been published in scholarly publications.
