Skilled Hematologist/Oncologist Joins White Plains Hospital

Swati Sehgal, M.D. Joins the White Plains Hospital Family

White Plains, NY (November 18, 2013) – White Plains Hospital has welcomed Hematologist and Oncologist Swati Sehgal, M.D., of New Rochelle, to its group of integrated physician practices as of November 18th. Dr. Sehgal has joined White Plains Hospital Physician Associates Oncology & Hematology, a division of the hospital aligning physicians with Hospital services. She will be working with Dr. Sara Sadan, Director of Breast and Women’s’ Medical Oncology, Dr. Anney Mannacheril, Dr. Joshua Raff, Chief of Oncology & Hematology, and Dr. Yael Zack.

Dr. Sehgal received her bachelor’s degree from Columbia University, her medical degree from the State University of New York Downstate College of Medicine, and completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey- Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital. She completed a fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at the North Shore/Long Island Jewish University Hospital. Dr. Sehgal is board certified in Internal Medicine, and board eligible in Hematology and Oncology.

Dr. Sehgal’s research has been published in several respected academic journals and has presented at numerous regional and national conferences. She is a member of the American Society of Hematology, the American Society for Clinical Oncology, the American Medical Association and the American Associations of Physicians of Indian Origin.
