Dr. Robert Antonelle joins the White Plains Hospital Family

White Plains Hospital will welcome Robert Antonelle, MD, of White Plains, to its group of integrated physician practices as of January 1st.  Dr. Antonelle’s practice is another member of White Plains Hospital Physician Associates, a recently formed division of the hospital aligning local physicians and the Hospital.

Dr. Antonelle has been in private practice for the last 17 years specializing in Gastroenterology, in which he is board-certified.  He has been acknowledged by numerous organizations for his clinical expertise in gastroenterology and has been recognized in the Castle Connolly “Top Doctors” guide for 14 consecutive years.

Dr. Antonelle’s specific areas of focus include colonoscopy, upper endoscopy and the management of Biliary and Liver diseases. He offers evening and weekend appointments to accommodate patients.  He has been affiliated with White Plains Hospital since 1993 and will keep his office located in White Plains at 311 North Street.

Dr. Antonelle earned his medical degree at New York Medical College and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Westchester Medical Center. He received fellowship training in Gastroenterology at New York Medical College, where he currently serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine. He has published articles on the management of bleeding vascular lesions in the GI tract, management of difficult polyps,  intraoperative ERCP, and more recently is working on Colon hydrotherapy, a novel approach to preparation for Colonoscopic procedures.
