Esteemed Oncology and Hematology Specialists Join White Plains Hospital Physician Associates

Drs. Sara Sadan, Joshua Raff, Anney Mannancheril and Ami Neghandi Welcomed Into the WPH Family

White Plains, NY (February 5, 2013) – The practice of Sara Sadan, M.D.; Joshua Raff, M.D; Anney Mannancheril, M.D.; Ami Neghandi, M.D.; and nurse practitioners Annie Borofsky, A.N.P. and Sandra Aufiero, A.N.P. is the first Oncology & Hematology group to join White Plains Hospital Physician Associates, a division of the hospital aligning local physicians with Hospital services. The practice will be known as Oncology & Hematology of White Plains and will continue to provide comprehensive medical care to patients with cancer and malignant and non-malignant blood disorders.

The group, formerly known as Oncology & Hematology of White Plains PLLC, was established in 1995 by Dr. Sara Sadan and over the decades has built a strong reputation for its commitment to providing patients with individualized treatment in a compassionate, welcoming environment. Detailed emphasis on patients’ therapeutic options, quality of life, and support for caregivers and family members has been the hallmark of the team.

Dr. Sadan has extensive expertise in breast and gynecological cancers, as well as gastrointestinal cancers, lung cancers, B and T-cell lymphomas, and general oncology. She also offers evaluation and counseling to identify individuals who may be genetically predisposed to certain types of cancers. Dr. Sadan is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology and has received her training at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. Over the years she has accumulated extensive experience in breast and other women’s cancers. Joining the team of White Plains Hospital Physician Associates, Dr. Sadan will serve as Director of Breast and Women’s Medical Oncology for the Hospital. In her role, Dr. Sadan will help establish an expanded breast center that will encompass the full spectrum of patient needs including prevention, screening, diagnosis, treatment, and survival resources.

Dr. Sadan will be joined by the other physicians in the group, Dr. Joshua Raff, Dr. Anney Mannancheril, and Dr. Ami Neghandi. Dr. Raff is section chief of Hematology-Oncology and Chairman of the GI Oncology Conference Committee at White Plains Hospital. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Medical Oncology and has specific experience in cancers of the digestive system, lung, and prostate cancer, as well as benign hematologic disorders including anemia, platelet disorders, and coagulation defects.

Dr. Mannancheril is also board certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Oncology. Her particular expertise is with both benign and malignant hematological disorders, solid tumors including sarcoma, gastric and colon cancers, and brain tumors. Dr. Ami Neghandi joined the group in 2009 and is board certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology. Her professional interests include lung cancer, lymphoma, gynecologic malignancies and hypercoagulability disorders.
