Dr. Casasanta Joins White Plains Hospital at Surgical Specialists Practice

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. (August 3, 2015) – White Plains Hospital welcomes colorectal surgeon Marc Casasanta, MD to its group of integrated physician practices as of August 3rd. Dr. Casasanta will be seeing patients at White Plains Hospital’s Surgical Specialists practice, located at 170 Maple Avenue in White Plains.

Dr. Casasanta received his medical degree from New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York. He completed his general surgery internship and residency at Medstar Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Casasanta also completed a fellowship in minimally invasive surgery and colorectal surgery at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston, Texas; as well as a fellowship in colon and rectal surgery at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland.  He is certified in the use of the daVinci Robotic Surgical System and is board certified in general surgery.

Dr. Casasanta will join surgeons Carl Weber, MD (general surgery); Kaare Weber, MD (general and endocrine surgery); Philip Weber, MD (general surgery and gastroesophageal specialist); Kimberly Yee, MD (colorectal surgery); and Rafik El Sabrout, MD (general and transplant/hepatobiliary surgery) as well as nurse practitioners Guirlen Cange, MSN, ANP-BC; Lorice Massias, RN, FNP; and Jennifer Poterbin, BC-FNP at Surgical Specialists.
