Biography

Dr. Fragner is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, with subspecialty fellowship training in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. He is Chief Emeritus of the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery at White Plains Hospital, and is currently the Director of Orthopaedic Hand Surgery at White Plains Hospital Physician Associates.

Dr. Fragner has served as a Clinical Instructor in Orthopaedic Surgery and Rehabilitation at Yale University School of Medicine and as a medical consultant to the New York Rangers hockey team. Dr. Fragner and his team treat adults and children for problems/injuries involving the hand, wrist or elbow, non-surgically when possible, and surgically when necessary.  Dr. Fragner has been practicing hand surgery in Westchester County for over 25 years.

Dr Fragner is a caring, communicative, knowledgeable and top notched physician. I was very fortunate to find him, a few years ago, as I suffered from chronic, intermittent painful episodes in both thumbs. As a pianist I just lived with the episodes for decades. When I decided to try and find a solution, I was fortunate enough to find Dr Fragner listed as a hand specialist in Westchester Magazine's Top Doctor yearly ratings issue.
