Martha Ferrara, DNP
Biography
Martha G. Ferrara is the Assistant Director of Electrophysiology Services at White Plains Hospital. A family nurse practitioner with a doctorate in nursing science from Stony Brook University, she is renowned in the remote monitoring field for cardiac implantable devices. She works alongside electrophysiology physicians at the WPH pacemaker center and strives to provide above-standard care to patients who use cardiovascular implantable electronic devices (pacemakers, defibrillators, loop recorders) to recognize and treat cardiac arrhythmias. Her professional and research focus is the remote monitoring of these devices, as well as patient education about the best evidence-based treatment options available. She is a Fellow of the Heart Rhythm Society and a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
