Dr. Sara Sadan is the founder of Oncology & Hematology of White Plains. Her vision, when she opened her practice in 1995, was to ensure personalized, state-of-the-art medical treatment and care for patients with cancer, in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Dr. Sadan and her team has built a reputation in White Plains and the surrounding communities for tailoring treatment options to best meet patients’ needs, advocating quality of life and cure options, as well as clinical trials when appropriate. In order to help provide her patients with the most thoughtful and personalized care, Dr. Sadan believes in “creating a team around her patients”, involving the primary care physician as well as any necessary medical specialists and surgeons. She knows that by coordinating patient care and communicating with each team member on a regular basis, her patients have the best opportunity to benefit from their customized treatment plan. Dr. Sadan is emphatic about quality care, and the expertise of the professionals providing patient care, which is why she entrusts her own family’s care to White Plains Hospital and its affiliated physicians.

Born and raised in Jerusalem, Israel, Dr. Sadan received her medical degree from The Hebrew University Hadassah Medical School, before commencing four years of post-doctoral and clinical research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital Center (Columbia University affiliate), and completed her fellowship in Medical Oncology and Hematology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Dr. Sadan is the recipient of two awards for excellence in clinical research; along with her team, she has published findings from research and clinical trials in leading medical journals.

Dr. Sadan specializes in both male and female malignancies. Over the years she has increased her focus on breast and other women’s cancers, as well as genetic predispositions to breast and ovarian cancer, colon cancer, Gaucher’s disease and other family cancer syndromes.
