White Plains, N.Y. (August 1, 2017) – White Plains Hospital welcomes Sasan Roayaie, MD, to its Physician Associates Division. Dr. Roayaie brings unique surgical skills to provide individualized care for patients needing complex liver, bile duct and pancreas resections. He has extensive experience in transplant surgery and with the treatment of primary liver cancers such as hepatocellular carcinoma and cholangiocarcinoma, benign tumors such as adenoma, focal nodular hyperplasia (FNH), and hemangiomas as well as liver metastases from colorectal, neuroendocrine and other cancers. Dr. Roayaie’s expertise also extends to the treatment of bile duct and pancreatic cancers. He has been a leader in the development of minimally invasive hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery. Dr. Roayaie not only performs any needed operations, but also works together with a multidisciplinary team including interventional radiology, radiation oncology, gastroenterology and oncology to devise an entire treatment program for patients who are not eligible for surgery.

(May 22, 2017) – White Plains Hospital is pleased to welcome Louis Vizioli, MD to its Physician Associates Division, adding pulmonary medicine expertise to the ambulatory physician practices aligned with White Plains Hospital. Dr. Vizioli is highly skilled in pulmonary and critical care medicine as well as primary care and internal medicine, having been in practice for more than 25 years. Dr. Geraci-Ciardullo is an accomplished allergy and asthma specialist and has practiced medicine in Westchester County for more than thirty years. Armonk, NY (November 17, 2015) – White Plains Hospital expanded its reach with the opening today of an urgent care center, comprehensive imaging center, and medical offices at White Plains Hospital Medical and Wellness in Armonk. This marks the first time a hospital has opened an urgent care center in Westchester. The 24,000-square-foot facility, located at 99 Business Park Drive, is easily accessible from routes 684 and 22 to residents of communities from Pleasantville to Bedford to Rye Brook and Greenwich, Connecticut. Suggs, M.D., FACS, Director of Vascular Service at White Plains Hospital, has a wealth of experience that dates back to 1995 as a co-investigator of clinical research protocols, and he has taken a lead role in several major clinical trials that examined and refined the vascular surgical approaches for both arterial and venous disorders.

White Plains Hospital has launched a lung cancer screening program in an effort to connect individuals with a significant smoking history who are at high risk for developing lung cancer with resources for early detection of disease and more favorable prognoses.

White Plains Hospital Spine Surgeon Jared Brandoff, M.D. will present a lecture to the community titled, “Oh, My Aching Back” to address back pain and provide methods to help reduce discomfort through a variety of treatments and therapies. Philip Weber, M.D. is the first specialist in Westchester County to perform the new Transoral Incisionless Fundoplication procedure, or TIF, completely without incisions, to treat patients with Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD).

The Breast Program at White Plains Hospital has been granted a three-year full accreditation designation by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), a program administered by the American College of Surgeons.

Raj Buddhavarapu, MD, Director of Geriatrics and Palliative Care at White Plains Hospital, has opened a clinical office where he will provide outpatient consultations and ongoing medical care to the growing numbers of older adults in Westchester county and surrounding areas.
