Dr. Berman has been a Thoracic and Vascular surgeon practicing at White Plains Hospital for more than 20 years. He received his medical degree from University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-Rutgers Medical School in 1983 and completed his General Surgery Residency at University of Connecticut-St. Francis Medical Center in Hartford, Connecticut. Dr. Berman received Fellowship training in Cardiothoracic Surgery at the State University of New York, Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse.
Dr. Berman performs both traditional open vascular surgery as well as minimally invasive endovascular techniques. He works with each patient individually to select the surgical approach most appropriate for their specific needs. He has an established track record for excellence in vascular surgical care and is a locally recognized expert in the surgery of the abdominal and thoracic aorta, carotid arteries, and peripheral (upper and lower extremities) vascular disease. He also works closely with nearby nephrologists (kidney specialists), providing state-of-the-art surgical access to local dialysis patients.
